By installing the Reachdesk app in Salesloft and having access to Salesloft Rhythm, you can use prebuilt Reachdesk plays that are triggered by specific gift status updates. These plays help you automate follow-up emails to contacts based on key gifting milestones.
Before You Start
To use Reachdesk plays in Salesloft Rhythm, you need to ensure the following are set up:
The Reachdesk app installed in Salesloft
Access to Salesloft Rhythm
Your individual Salesloft account connected in Reachdesk via Account > Integrations
Gift Status Syncing enabled in your Salesloft integration settings within the Reachdesk platform
Reachdesk Gift Statuses Available for Plays
You can create Salesloft plays for these specific Reachdesk gift statuses:
- eGift link is clicked
- eGift is redeemed
- Physical address is confirmed
- Physical gift is delivered
Create a Play from a Reachdesk Template

In Salesloft, click your Profile name and select Settings
Go to Workflow > Plays
Select Discover Plays
Find the Reachdesk gift status you want to use for an automated follow-up
Select the play
Review and edit the play to fit your needs
Click Save in the top-right corner
To activate the play immediately, select Enable play after saving before you save
Once you create the play, it will appear under My Plays.
How the Follow-Up Works
When a gift status changes in Reachdesk, the update is synced to Salesloft and logged as an Activity. Salesloft then uses that activity to trigger the play and create an upcoming task for the user.
For example, if an eGift link is clicked status is synced but the recipient does not claim the gift, Salesloft can create a follow-up email task.
The user can then click Email on the task to open the play’s email template and send the follow-up.

Can I edit the default Reachdesk email template?
Yes. When you select the play, you can review and edit the default email template before saving it.
Can I enable the play during setup?

What happens when a Reachdesk gift status changes?
Reachdesk captures the status change and syncs it to Salesloft as an activity. Salesloft then creates an upcoming action (task) based on your play configuration.
