International gift notes with Reachdesk AI
You can now generate gift notes in any language with Reachdesk AI. We offer 8 languages by default, including English (US & UK), German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Italian, Swedish, and Portuguese. When sending gifts, you can also select “Recipient’s language” to have gift notes written in the recipient’s native language based on their country, making Reachdesk AI speak in any language in the world. For any non-English note, Reachdesk AI shows you what the note says in English so you always know what's being sent. Learn more about Reachdesk AI.
Campaign name pro tips
You'll now find Pro Tips on how to write great campaign names when creating or editing campaigns. These pro tips will give you guidance on how to create campaigns that will (1) help senders know when each campaign should be sent, (2) make your reporting clearer and (3) help Reachdesk AI provide better recommendations. Pro tips always include 3 examples, that you can adapt to your use cases.
Charity donations without recipient choices
You can now offer recipients the option to donate the value of a marketplace gift to a charity, without letting them choose something else from the marketplace (i.e. recipient choices). Previously, you could only select charity donations when recipient choices was enabled. Now, these two options are independent of each other. Please note that the option to donate to a charity is only available for sends that require address confirmation via email or link.
Custom variables in Marketo triggered campaigns
You can now sync a custom variable from Marketo with triggered campaigns, and use it to generate personalized gift notes and emails. To see your custom variable, you need to have:
- A triggered campaign with a Marketo sending user and
- The option "Send gift automatically via integration" enabled under "Send settings".
Once the Marketo webhook is set up with the correct mapping, you can use the "Custom Gift Data" variable for gift notes or emails, as illustrated below. Read more about it here!
Advanced detection systems for true eGift auto-claims
We've built advanced detection systems to identify and deactivate auto-claims triggered by interactions from firewalls, robots, or other non-human sources. This proactive approach eliminates the possibility of false eGift claims, ensuring that only genuine interactions are captured. With these robust security measures in place, Reachdesk safeguards your budget by accurately managing legitimate claims. Read more about it here.
Validation changes: multi-currency eGift campaigns
From April 30, eGift campaigns with gift cards issued in 2 or more currencies will need to have a difference of 1 currency unit between Min and Max amounts, i.e. difference of 1 USD, 1 EUR, or 1 GBP depending on the currency selected for the Min and Max setting.
Exchange rates fluctuate multiple times throughout the day, which makes gift cards issued in currencies different from the Min/Max currency unavailable at the time of sending. The problem is even more critical with campaigns where the Min and Max are the same. For example, an eGift campaign created with Min/Max set to USD 10 may show a gift card issued in Mexican Pesos with a denomination of MXN 170 if today's exchange rate is 1 USD = 17 MXN. However, if the campaign is sent tomorrow after the exchange rate fluctuates to 1 USD = 16.90 MXN, then the gift card would not be available to be sent, as it would cost USD 10.06, which is over the Max amount set in the campaign.
Including a mixture of brands across currencies is key for a successful international gifting strategy. To help you succeed, we're enforcing a 1 currency unit difference between Min and Max amounts. In the example above, Min would be USD 10 and Max would be USD 11. However, we recommend having a difference of at least 5 units, to avoid extreme currency exchange fluctuations.
When you try to create a new campaign with gift cards issued in multiple currencies and set a Min/Max to the same amount, we'll show an error when you try to save the campaign, which will ask for you to add at least 1 currency unit difference between Min and Max.
Existing campaigns have been automatically updated with the 1 currency difference. If any of your existing campaigns had, for example, Min/Max set to USD 10, then Max was updated to USD 11 and Min stayed unaltered.
Computer fonts for bundle notes
We have added 11 new computer fonts to bundle gift notes. You can now choose from Ubuntu, Lato, Lexend, Roboto, Playfair Display, Merriweather, DM Serif Text, Roboto Slab, Josfin Slab, M PLUS 1 Code, and Sedan.
Warehousing redesign
We've updated the Warehousing section of the Reachdesk platform with a menu restructure, new tab names, and an improved look & feel. The complete redesign of the warehousing section will be phased and rolled out throughout the year. Learn about this and future warehousing releases here.
Save as default for warehousing filters
You can now save your filters as default in the items tab of the warehousing section. By selecting the "Save as default filter" checkbox at the bottom of the filter drawer and clicking apply you will lock in the applied filters for future visits. Default filters allow you to select your most viewed or relevant warehouse filters when landing on this page. If you change your mind and want different defaults, select the new filters, select the "Save as default filter" checkbox again, and apply.
Stay tuned for next month's updates!
