Use this workflow to manually sync new submissions from a Reachdesk Landing Page into Salesforce by using Zapier.
Note: If your Zap uses a premium app (like Marketo), Zapier requires a paid plan.
Before you start
Make sure you have the following in place:
User Permissions: You must have an Admin or Campaign Manager role in Reachdesk to access Landing Page data.
Account Access: A Zapier account and a Salesforce account with permissions to create/edit records.
Data Prep: A Google Sheets spreadsheet ready to act as your data bridge.
Prepare your data source
1. Download the CSV from Reachdesk
To get your submission data:
Log in to Reachdesk and go to the Sends tab.
Use the Filters to select the specific Landing Page name you want to export.
Click Download as CSV. This generates a file of all Sends for that page.
2. Add the CSV to Google Sheets
Upload your CSV data into a Google Sheet. To ensure Salesforce accepts the record, your sheet must include these headers at a minimum:
First Name
Last Name
Email
Country (Required if you plan to trigger physical gifts later)
Create the Zap in Zapier
Step 1: Create a new Zap
Log in to Zapier and click Create.
Step 2: Set Google Sheets as the trigger
Select Google Sheets as the trigger app.
Choose the event New or Updated Spreadsheet Row.
Link your Google account and select the spreadsheet/worksheet containing your Reachdesk data.
Step 3: Connect Salesforce
Add an action step and select Salesforce.
Choose the event Find Record to prevent creating duplicate leads.
Connect your Salesforce account.
Step 4: Configure the Salesforce action
You can choose to sync these as either Contacts or Leads.
Option 1: Create or find a Contact
Salesforce Object: Contact
Field to search by: Email
Create Salesforce Record if it doesn’t exist yet?: Ticked
Mapping: Link the First Name, Last Name, and Email columns from your Google Sheet to the corresponding Salesforce fields.
Option 2: Create or find a Lead
Salesforce Object: Lead
Field to search by: Email
Create Salesforce Record if it doesn’t exist yet?: Ticked
Mapping: Link the First Name, Last Name, and Email columns from your Google Sheet to the corresponding Salesforce fields.
A note on Privacy: Reachdesk does not write physical address data back to Salesforce fields. Only gifting activity (Sent, Shipped, Delivered) is synced to protect recipient privacy.
Test and publish
Run a test in Zapier to ensure the data lands in Salesforce correctly.
Verify the new Lead or Contact appears in your CRM.
Publish the Zap.
Once live, every time you add new rows to your Google Sheet from a Reachdesk CSV export, Zapier will automatically update Salesforce.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I have Salesforce assignment rules?
If Use assignment rules is set to True in the Zap, Salesforce will automatically route the new Lead based on your active CRM rules. If False, the record will be assigned to the user who connected the Zap.
What should I do if I use a lead routing tool instead of Zapier?
Download the CSV from Reachdesk and use your own lead routing process instead of this Zapier workflow.
What if the address is unverified?
If a lead is created and a gift is triggered, but the address provided on the Landing Page is unverified, the send will move to a Pending status in Reachdesk for an Admin to review.
