Gift expiry dates control how long recipients have to claim a sent gift. You can update an eligible gift expiry date when a recipient needs more time to claim the gift before the gift link expires.
Who can update gift expiry dates?
Reachdesk permissions control who can update gift expiry dates:
Admins can update the expiry date for all eligible sends.
Campaign Managers can update the expiry date for their own eligible sends.
Senders can update the expiry date for their own eligible sends.
A gift expiry date can only be updated when the gift has not already expired and the send has an eligible status.
Which gifts can have their expiry date updated?
You can update the expiry date for eligible Bundle, Marketplace and eGift sends when the gift has not already expired.
Bundle and Marketplace sends with address confirmation
You can update the expiry date for physical gifts with address confirmation when the send status is one of the following:
Scheduled
Waiting address confirmation
Opened
Clicked, and
Sent reminder email
eGifts sends
You can update the expiry date for eGifts when the send status is one of the following:
Sent
Opened
Clicked, and
Sent reminder email
View a gift expiry date
From the Sends page
You can view the expiry date for a sent gift from the Sends page.
Go to the Sends page.
Find the send you want to review.
Check the Expiration column. The Expiration column shows the gift expiry date and the number of days left before the gift link expires.
From the Send details
You can also open the send details to view the expiry date:
Go to the Sends page.
Click any eligible send.
In the send details, find the Expiry date section below Campaign details.
Filter sends by expiry date
You can filter the Sends page to find gifts that expire within a specific date range.
Go to the Sends page.
Click Filters.
Choose a date in From expiration date.
Choose a date in To expiration date.
Click Filter.
Update a gift expiry date
From the Sends page
You can also update an eligible gift expiry date directly from the Sends page.
Go to the Sends page.
Find the eligible send you want to update.
Click the arrow next to Review.
Click Update expiration date.
Add the new expiry date. (Note: The maximum expiry period for any gift is 30 days.)
Click Save.
From the send details
You can update an eligible gift expiry date from the send details page.
Go to the Sends page.
Click the eligible send you want to update.
In the send details, find the Expiry date section below Campaign details.
Click Update expiry.
Add the new expiry date. (Note: The maximum expiry period for any gift is 30 days.)
Click Update.
After Reachdesk updates the gift expiry date, you'll see a success message.
