In Stock SKUs and Contracted SKU Limit Calculation

  • Updated

This article explains how Reachdesk calculates In Stock SKUs and how they count toward your contracted SKU limit. It also explains how to view the storage space used across each warehouse and in total.

What is an In Stock SKU?

An In Stock SKU is an item with at least one unit in stock in a specific warehouse. If the same SKU is stored in multiple warehouses, each warehouse with stock counts as a separate In Stock SKU.

Only In Stock SKUs count toward your contracted SKU limit. No other SKUs contribute to this limit.

For example, SKU RD-1-1 is stored in the US, UK, and EU warehouses, with 10 units in stock at each warehouse. This counts as 3 In Stock SKUs, one for each warehouse. If your contract allows 15 SKUs, this example would use 3 of your 15 available SKUs.

When a SKU stops counting toward your limit

If the stock quantity for a SKU reaches 0 in a warehouse, that SKU no longer counts as an In Stock SKU in that warehouse. It no longer counts toward your contracted SKU limit.

Viewing SKU storage usage

Reachdesk shows how much storage space your In Stock SKUs are using, both per warehouse and in total.
