These changes related to warehouse items and ship notices are important in order to speed up check-in of gifts received and fulfillent of gifts sent from our warehouses. The more accurate information we have about your item, the faster it will be for our warehouse to check it in and fulfil your order!
What is changing on the item page?
New required item details: To speed up check-in and fulfillment, you will now need to fill out a few details when creating or editing an item, such as brand, color, size, and a short description. If you are unable to add the detail because it is not applicable, such as if the item is unbranded, please put "N/A."
Shipping and special care requirements: If your item has shipping restrictions (like alcohol or lithium batteries) or special care requirements, you can now flag it upfront so we can handle it properly.
Confirmation: To confirm that the details added is correct, please tick the box at the end of the page.

How can I more easily populate these required fields?
Our AI assistant can autofill required details based on the item name and description, making it faster and easier for you to create items. Once you click on Autofill with AI, we will provide suggestions, which you can still update before saving the page. In order to use the Autofill, you need to have an item name and description (over 6 characters), and you need to have AI enabled in your organization settings.

What about updating my existing items?
We understand that you have existing items in our warehouse, and to make things easier for you, our team will use our new AI assistant to backfill the required details for these items before we launch this.
Please note that for the above to happen automatically, you need to enable AI in your organization settings. If AI isn’t or can't be enabled:
- You will need to update item details manually when the changes go live
- Or, you can reach out to your CSM and we can temporarily enable Reachdesk AI to backfill existing items for you
Note that there could still be items that we cannot complete all item details using AI. In case the item is incomplete, if you want to send this item to our warehouse again, you will be prompted to update the item details when you create a ship notice.
Why is my item's item details locked?
You might notice that some item details are locked. This is because the item has already been previously received by our warehouse, therefore, you are no longer able to update this. We need to be able to track the item as it was when we first checked it in. If you sent us a pack of 50 black hoodies and you want to update this to a pack of 100 black hoodies, please create a new item. If you do see something incorrect, please reach out to our support team so they can correct this for you.

What is changing on the ship notice page?
To create and update ship notices, each item must have complete details. Since we are handling the backfill for most items, this should be a smooth transition! If any details are missing, we will let you know so you can update the item and continue creating or updating your ship notice.

If an item has missing details, you will see it on the screen below.
To update the item:
- Click on the edit icon
- Update the required details
- Save the item
- You will automatically return to the ship notice page.
- You can continue to complete your ship notice and save it.
