Why are we validating addresses?
We have introduced a validation check on addresses in order to:
- Reduce risk of delays and returns
- Reduce manual corrections from vendors and warehouse teams
- Improve delivery rates

A modal will appear when the recipient tries to confirm their address that shows address suggestions |
Show address suggestions
If the address is unverified, there are three scenarios that can happen:
1. Address suggestion is found! This means we found a better format for the address.
2. Address is missing details - This means we verified part of the address, but we need more details to deliver it.
3. Address needs review - This means we are unable to verify the address at all.
Send is updated with a "pending" status
If a gift is sent without address confirmation and it is sent from triggered campaigns, landing pages, zapier, public API and bulk CSV, if the address is unverified, we will update the status to "pending." An admin or campaign manager will need to review the send and our address suggestions before accepting or rejecting it.
Address confirmation page
If a gift is sent with address confirmation, on the address confirmation page, a modal will appear when the recipient tries to confirm their address that shows address suggestions if the address they entered is unverified. Coming soon!
