Configuration
Permissions: Your Marketo API User must have Read-Write permissions for both Custom Activity and Program Member objects.
Program Mapping: Ensure your Reachdesk campaign is synced to a specific Marketo Program and that statuses are mapped in the Reachdesk campaign settings.
Activity Logging (Optional): If you want Reachdesk events to appear in the Marketo Activity Log, you must create a Marketo Custom Activity and add the Activity ID to the Reachdesk Integration settings.

Track engagement in Marketo
How tracking works
There are two ways to see how your recipients are interacting with your gifts in Marketo:
Program Member Status: This works automatically once your campaign is mapped. As a gift moves from "Processed" to "Shipped" or "Claimed," the person’s status in your Marketo Program will update accordingly.
Activity Logging: If you have configured the Custom Activity ID, Reachdesk will push specific "Reachdesk Engage" events directly into the lead's Marketo Activity Log. This is useful for triggering specific Marketo Smart Campaigns based on real-time engagement.

Best Practices: Mapping Campaigns to Programs
We recommend a 1-to-1 mapping (one Reachdesk campaign to one Marketo program). This gives you the most granular reporting for:
Which specific initiatives are driving ROI.
Delivery and claim performance per gift type.
Accurate Opportunity Influence tracking.
While you can group multiple Reachdesk campaigns into one Marketo program (e.g., by Territory or Team), this will merge your data and make it harder to see which specific gifts performed best.
