Use Bombora Company Surge® insights in HubSpot to identify high-intent accounts and trigger both Reachdesk manual or automated gifting campaigns.
Before You Begin
To use this workflow, ensure you have the following in place:
Integrations: The Bombora <> HubSpot integration must be configured.
Reachdesk HubSpot Connector: Your HubSpot instance must be linked to Reachdesk (Account > Integrations) to ensure gifting activity logs back to your HubSpot timelines.
Reachdesk Chrome Extension: Required for manual sends. Ensure all users sending gifts have the extension installed and are logged in.
Campaign Setup: A Reachdesk campaign must be created before you can trigger it via HubSpot.
Send 1-to-1 Gifts Using Bombora Intent Data
Use this option when you want to review surging companies and send a personalized gift to a specific contact.
How to send
In HubSpot, open a Company record showing high intent or surging on specific Bombora topics.
Review the company’s Contacts to identify the best-fit recipient.
Open the Reachdesk Insight View (via the Chrome Extension) on the contact record.
Select your pre-built Reachdesk campaign.
Personalize your message and send the gift.
Note: Even for 1-to-1 sends, the campaign must exist in Reachdesk first. You can use a "generic" campaign shell and customize the individual note within the extension at the time of sending.
Set Up a Triggered Workflow in HubSpot
Use this option to automatically trigger a gift when a company meets specific Bombora Surge criteria.
1. Create the HubSpot Workflow
While Bombora data often lives at the Company level, you must create a Contact-based workflow to send a gift.
Start a new Contact-based workflow in HubSpot.
Set your Enrollment Criteria by selecting Contact properties > Filter by Associated Company.
Choose the Bombora Company Surge® properties (e.g., Surge Score is greater than 70 or Last Surging Date is less than 7 days ago).
2. Create the Automated Campaign in Reachdesk
In Reachdesk, go to the Automated Campaigns tab and click New Automated Campaign.
Under Campaign Trigger, select the HubSpot connector.
Map your fields: This is critical. Ensure HubSpot properties (like
Email,First Name,Postal Code) are mapped to the corresponding Reachdesk fields.Once the campaign is saved, Reachdesk will generate a unique Webhook URL. Copy this URL.
3. Add the Webhook Action in HubSpot
Go back to your HubSpot workflow.
Add a new action: Trigger Webhook.
Set the Method to POST.
Paste the Reachdesk Webhook URL into the URL field.
Save and turn the workflow on.
Approval Settings for Triggered Sends
If you want to maintain control over your budget or double-check recipients, you can disable "Automatically approve all triggered sends" within the Reachdesk Campaign settings.
When disabled, triggered sends will sit in your Sends tab in Reachdesk for manual approval or rejection before the gift is processed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which HubSpot object should I use for the workflow?
Always use a Contact-based workflow. Reachdesk requires a recipient email address to process a send. You can still use Company-level Bombora data to enroll those contacts.
Do I need the Reachdesk HubSpot Integration linked?
Yes. While the webhook handles the "send" command, the linked integration is what allows Reachdesk to "write" the status of that gift back to the HubSpot record.
Where do I find the Webhook URL?
The URL is generated only after you select HubSpot as the trigger source during the Reachdesk Automated Campaign setup.
Should I use "Campaign Sync" for this?
No. Leave Campaign Sync (or External Template ID) blank for this specific HubSpot webhook setup.
