Understand Reachdesk activity in Outreach
Before building reports, it is important to understand how Reachdesk activity is logged in Outreach. This depends on whether you are using the Reachdesk Outreach App or the Reachdesk Chrome Extension.
Reachdesk Outreach App (Embedded)
When sending via the embedded app, Reachdesk logs a custom Reachdesk event to the prospect’s activity feed, providing granular engagement data.
Reachdesk Chrome Extension (Manual & Sequence Tasks)
For Reachdesk steps within an Outreach sequence, you must create a Reachdesk Task step. When the task becomes due, use the Reachdesk Chrome Extension to execute the send. Once completed, Outreach logs this as a completed Task on the prospect record.
Sequence Level Reporting
At the sequence level, Outreach shows which steps are performing well. You can review the impact of Reachdesk task steps within a sequence and compare their performance against other actions like emails or calls.

What you need
The tasks and events executed in Outreach can appear in Salesforce if your Outreach-to-Salesforce plugin is configured correctly.
You need the following:
The Outreach Salesforce plugin
Advanced task mapping configured in Outreach
Task support enabled for the Salesforce plugin
A Salesforce Admin to manage object mapping
How it works
Outreach generic task data (from the Chrome Extension) and Reachdesk events (from the App) can be mapped into Salesforce through the CRM Task <> Outreach task object mapping.
Once configured, Reachdesk activity appears in Salesforce alongside your other sales tasks, allowing for unified ROI reporting.
Build Salesforce reports around tasks
To track Outreach performance — and specifically Reachdesk’s impact within Outreach — your Salesforce reporting should be based on Tasks. Because reporting depends on your specific Salesforce configuration, the options below are examples of common setups.
Reporting options
Use the Activities with Opportunities report
You can use the native Activities with Opportunities report in Salesforce. As long as your tasks and opportunities are assigned to the same contacts/accounts, you can view Reachdesk tasks associated with open or closed opportunities. Filter the report by Subject or Task Type to isolate Reachdesk sends.
Add contacts to Salesforce campaigns
A Salesforce Admin can use Salesforce Flow to automatically add a prospect to a Salesforce Campaign once a Reachdesk task or event is synced from Outreach. This enables the use of standard Salesforce Campaign Influence reports to measure ROI.
Use Outreach last-touch attribution
If you use Outreach’s native attribution functionality, you can identify which sequences (including those containing Reachdesk steps) led to opportunity creation or contributed the most revenue.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I see Reachdesk engagement in Outreach?
You can see engagement on the prospect record. For sends via the Outreach App, you will see outcomes like "clicked" and "claimed." For Dynamic Gift Links in emails, Reachdesk tracks engagement from the "clicked" status onwards.
Can Reachdesk tasks from Outreach sequences appear in Salesforce?
Yes. When you complete a Reachdesk task in a sequence using the Chrome Extension, it logs as a task in Outreach. If your Salesforce plugin has task mapping enabled, this task will sync to the corresponding Salesforce record.
Who is needed to set up this sync?
You will likely need your Outreach CSM to enable task syncing on the Outreach side and your Salesforce Admin to ensure the tasks are mapping to the correct fields in your CRM.
