If you'd like to send a Reachdesk campaign on behalf of other users that exist in the platform, you can use the bulk CSV upload option to do so. This feature is only available to users with Admin and Campaign Manager roles.
How can I use it?
- When sending a gift, choose the option to send in bulk.
- Download the CSV template. The relevant columns are towards the end of the CSV:
- Sender email, Wallet Type, Wallet Currency, Delivery Method (the last one is only for bundle sends)
- Add the emails of the users you'd like to send a campaign on behalf
- Sender email - Email of the user you are sending on behalf of. This user must exist in the Reachdesk platform.
- Add the Wallet Type and Currency that should be used for each sender (User or Team)
- Wallet Type (User or Team) and Wallet Currency (3 digit currency code) - This wallet must belong to the user you are sending on behalf of. It's either a user wallet they have, or a team wallet for the team they belong to. If you choose a team wallet and the user has multiple teams, we will use the user's default team's team wallet.
- Add the Delivery Method for Bundle Campaigns (choose standard or express, where relevant).
- Delivery Method ( for Bundle Campaigns only ) - This can either be standard or express and it only applies for sending bundle campaigns.
- Upload, and proceed with the rest of the send flow steps.
The Finer Details
Valid Users for sending: You can only send on behalf of a user email that exists in the Reachdesk platform - you will see an error if an email does not exist. After uploading the CSV, users can click the edit option for each send to view the details they entered, displayed as shown below:
- Any customisation tokens you use in the emails or notes (sender name, sender first name, sender last name, and sender company name), will reflect the name connected to the sender email you have chosen, as written in their profile:
- User Wallet or Team Wallet: You are able to set for each sender, the wallet type (user or team) and wallet currency (USD, GPB, EUR, etc) that will be charged when the gift is sent. The user in the sender email must have access to this wallet. If you choose a team wallet and the user has multiple teams, we will use the user's default team's team wallet. If these values are not set in the CSV, we will use the default user wallet of the user in the the sender email.
- The cost of the gift will be deducted from the wallet entered on the CSV for each send.
For example:- Phil is sending on behalf of Marta and Carly.
- If Phil selects "User" in the Wallet Type column, Marta and Carly's User wallet balance will be deducted by the gift cost.
- If Phil selects "Team" in the Wallet Type, Marta and Carly's available balance in their team wallet will be deducted by the gift cost.
- Phil is sending on behalf of Marta and Carly.
- For reporting, in the Sends tab, all sends will show as being sent by Phil on behalf of Carly and Marta in the example above.
