Standing out in a busy digital landscape requires thoughtfully tailoring your message to the right audience. Yet, at scale, balancing efficiency and personalization can be challenging - after all, one size does not fit all!
With Reachdesk, you no longer have to compromise: Introducing Custom CSV Variables, a better way to customize your messaging in bulk!
Starting today, all Reachdesk users have the ability to upload custom variables through a CSV, which can then be used to tailor Emails en mass. Here's what you need to know:
Steps:
Note: To use this feature, you must allow senders to customize the campaign details. Depending on the campaign type, this is done by either enabling the "Allow senders to edit" checkbox (found in the Address Confirmation Email & Page section) or by making sure the lock/unlock icons are set to unlocked (found in the Gift Details section).
- Download (or re-create) Reachdesk CSV Template
- Add Custom Columns after the existing mandatory fields
- Enter desired values for each Recipient
- Upload the CSV during the Send flow
- Add desired variables to your Reachdesk Emails or Gift Notes by clicking the variable button in the Reachdesk text editor "{}" or by entering the CSV column name in curly brackets, e.g. {{new_var}}
- Send up to 5000 personalized messages at once!
Requirements:
Custom columns should be added to the recipients' CSV file after the mandatory CSV fields.
The text in the custom column title in the CSV must be exactly the same as the variable in the Reachdesk text editor. This is case-sensitive, so please ensure this is correct otherwise, it will not insert the custom message.
Always check the note previews during the send flow and the review page to make sure your custom message has been inserted as desired.
Examples:
Add "Next Meeting Date" Variable with unique dates for each recipient.
Customize Email Subject per recipient and stand out among the digital noise
Personalize the Email Body like never before
If written as {Next Meeting Date} in the text editor, the custom column must say "Next Meeting Date", if it says "next meeting date" it will not work.
Note: You can Edit the values for custom variables within Reachdesk after uploading the file.
What are you waiting for? It's time to get creative!
