Reachdesk allows you to easily preview your campaign emails before they go live. Using the "Send test email" feature ensures your branding, copy, and overall layout look exactly the way you want them to before your team starts sending. Admins should use the "Send test email" function to verify rendering before activation.
How to Send a Test Email
- Open the campaign settings and go to the “Address confirmation email & page” section.
- Click Preview & edit to open the email editor.
- Scroll down on the “Confirmation email tab” and click the Send test email button.
- The test email will be sent to the email address of the user who is currently signed in.
What Test Emails Do and Don't Do
Test emails are for reviewing layout and copy only. They behave differently from live sends in a few important ways:
- The "Send-From" Address: The test email will come from either the generic Reachdesk domain or a custom domain verified from your organization.
- They're marked as tests: The subject line carries a [TEST] prefix so you can easily tell it apart from a live send.
Links and CTA buttons are not functional: No Send Number is created for a test email, so the claim and confirmation links won't lead to a live gift experience.
- Nothing appears on your Sends page or integration: Test emails don't create a Send record, so you won't see them in Reachdesk, and they won't sync any activity to your CRM.
No funds are deducted: Sending a test email does not deduct any funds from your wallet or affect your campaign spend limits.
