Connect Reachdesk to BambooHR to sync employee data for HRIS-based workflows in Reachdesk.
Before you start
You need two details from BambooHR before you begin:
Your BambooHR subdomain: This is the part of your BambooHR URL that matches your organization name (e.g. https://[subdomain].bamboohr.com).
A BambooHR API Key.
Set up the BambooHR integration
Step 1: Generate an API key in BambooHR
In BambooHR, go to the Home page.
Click your Account avatar.
Select API Keys.
Click Add New Key.
Click Generate Key.
Click Copy Key to save it to your clipboard.
Click Done.
Step 2: Link BambooHR in Reachdesk
In Reachdesk, go to Account > Integrations.
Find the BambooHR entry and click Connect.

On the Link Account page, enter:
Your API Key
Your Company Domain (subdomain only)
Sync timing & logic
After you connect BambooHR to Reachdesk:
Initial Sync: Employee data can take up to 1 hour to be fetched and become available in Reachdesk.
Daily Updates: After the initial connection, the integration syncs daily at 7:00 AM UTC.
Email Matching: Reachdesk uses the
personalEmailfield by default if "Use personal email" is toggled ON. If that field is blank, it defaults toworkEmail.Troubleshooting: If the sync takes longer than 24 hours, contact support@reachdesk.com.

Pro-Tip: By default, automated campaigns only apply to new matches moving forward. If you want to send gifts to employees who already meet your criteria (like everyone who already had a birthday this month), toggle ON "Send gift to anyone that already match the criteria above" in your campaign settings.

Who can set up the BambooHR integration?
Only one user is required to set up the connection. This user should be a BambooHR Admin or have high-level visibility to ensure Reachdesk can see:
Employees who have left (based on
terminationDate)Employees who have not yet started
Address, birthday, and start date information
Can I connect more than one HRIS?
No. You can connect only one HRIS provider per organization at a time. To switch from another provider (like HiBob or Workday), you must disconnect the current one first.
Does Reachdesk update data in BambooHR?
No. Reachdesk has read-only permission. BambooHR remains your source of truth; Reachdesk does not push data back into your HRIS.
Who can create automated campaigns?
Only users with Admin or Campaign Manager roles in Reachdesk can create and manage automated campaigns using HRIS data.
