The Reachdesk Chrome Extension lets you send gifts directly from your CRM or email tool without opening the Reachdesk platform. When you open the extension from a contact or lead record, it automatically pulls and pre-fills the recipient’s information. From there, you can select an active campaign, customize your message, review the financials, and complete your send seamlessly.
What the Reachdesk Chrome Extension Does
The extension bridges your everyday sales tools with Reachdesk. Use the Reachdesk Chrome Extension to:
-
Streamline your workflow: Execute sends without hopping back and forth between platforms.
Eliminate manual entry: Automatically scrape and pre-populate contact details straight from the page you are viewing.
Personalize on the fly: Tailor your email copy or gift notes in real time to fit the specific prospect or customer context.
Maintain full visibility: Track real-time delivery and interaction milestones directly from your CRM activity feed.
Before You Begin
To use the extension successfully, your individual Reachdesk account must be authenticated with the third-party platform where you are trying to send gifts.
Follow these steps to check and link your connections:
Log into the Reachdesk platform, open the left-side menu, and navigate to Account > Integrations.
Locate your target platform (e.g., Salesforce or HubSpot) and click Link Account.
You will be redirected to the platform's login page to authorize Reachdesk permissions.
Once completed, download and install the extension from the Chrome Web Store, making sure you are actively logged into both the core platform and the extension browser icon.
Configuring Extension Site Access Permissions
For the extension to recognize data and load its overlay window on third-party websites, your Google Chrome browser must be granted site access permissions. If your extension isn't interacting with your CRM pages, verify these settings:
Right-click the Reachdesk extension icon in your Chrome toolbar and select Manage Extension (or open
chrome://extensionsand click Details under the Reachdesk card).Locate the Site access section and find the "Automatically allow access on the following sites" rule.
Ensure the extension is allowed to read and change data On all sites, or verify that the individual site toggles for your specific CRM platforms (and
mail.google.comif using Gmail) are switched to On.
⚠️ Note for Managed Profiles: If these permissions toggles are greyed out or display a corporate management icon, your browser profile is controlled by your company's organization rules. You will need to reach out to your internal IT Administrator to allowlist the Reachdesk extension globally.

Troubleshooting Common Issues
Why is the extension displaying a blank screen or failing to load content?
A blank overlay window almost always means you have been logged out of your Reachdesk session. To resolve this, open a fresh browser tab, head over to app.reachdesk.com, and sign back into your user account. Once signed in, go back to your CRM window, refresh the page, and click the extension icon to reload your campaign content.
Why are my extension sends not tracking or updating tasks in my CRM?
For automated task logging and campaign member updates to push back into your CRM, the recipient must be successfully associated with an existing database record. Reachdesk creates activity tasks only when a contact is searched, selected, or scraped from an active integration environment.
If you manually type out a recipient's email address by hand or use an unlinked CSV upload, no record ID is captured, and Reachdesk cannot write back activity updates to your platform retroactively. Always make sure your account integration is active under your profile settings before placing an overlay send.
