Please read the following to learn how to control how much each user can spend on a particular gift campaign per month.
Setup a budget in the Campaigns Page
1. As an admin or campaign manager, go to any campaign page.
2. Go to Send Settings and you can see the "Monthly user spend limit" section.
3. By default, this will be set to "unlimited spend."
4. To add a monthly spend limit, disable "unlimited spend" and input the monthly spend limit for each user who will send this campaign.
5. Save the campaign.
Note:
- For gift card campaigns, the spend limit currency is based on the gift card budget currency.
- For bundle campaigns, the spend limit currency is based on the warehouse currency.
- For marketplace campaigns, the spend limit currency is based on the sender's gift budget currency, or the selected marketplace gift currency.
Setup a budget in the Triggered Campaigns Page
1. As an admin or campaign manager, go to any triggered campaign page.
2. Go to Send Settings and you can see the "Monthly user spend limit" section, above the "Payment" section.
3. By default, this will be set to "unlimited spend."
4. To add a monthly spend limit, disable "unlimited spend" and input the monthly spend limit for the sending user who will send this campaign.
5. Save the campaign.
Note:
- For triggered campaigns, the spend limit currency is based on the payment wallet currency.
What happens to gift sends if the monthly spend limit is reached?
- For 1-to-1 sends, the sender will be prevented from sending the campaign if they try to send it. The campaign will be disabled and it will have a badge saying "exceeds budget" to let the user know they have exceeded their budget and can no longer send this campaign.
- For bulk sends, landing page sends and triggered sends, the gift send will be set to "pending" and will need to be approved or rejected by an admin.
- To approve a send, you can temporarily update the spend limit to be higher.
