In the Send Gift flow a user can choose to send a physical gift in a number of ways.
If the Sender chooses to ask the user to confirm their address, they can either:
- Generate an address confirmation link: When this link is clicked, it will show an address confirmation landing page that the recipient can populate with their correct address details.
- Send an address confirmation email: When this email is sent, there is a button on the email that the recipient can click that takes them to the address confirmation landing page that the recipient can populate with their correct address details.
How can you customise the default address confirmation template?
By default, the email correspondence for all campaigns will match the default email found in the Branding tab within Organisation. You can change the colors and links that appear on the default template here.
How can you customise the default address confirmation message?
It is possible for Admins to customise the address confirmation email and landing page in two ways:
1. On the campaign page
Ensure you have "send address confirmation email" enabled on the claim setting section.
On the Branding section of the campaign page, you will see the address confirmation email and page that you can customise.
You can add custom variables and emojis by clicking on the variable or emoji editors at the bottom right of the editor.
As you type, you will see the preview on the right update in real-time.
Change the button copy if you would like. TIP: You probably don't need to do this unless you're changing the language.
Click "Send test email" to send an email to yourself. As soon as you click this button a test send will go to the email address you are signed in with.
2. While sending a gift in the "Personalize message" step.
If "allow sender to personalize address confirmation" message is enabled on the campaign, senders will see a "Personalize message" step where they can further personalize the address confirmation message.
What does the recipient see when they are confirming their address?
If recipient's choice is not turned on for the campaign, the recipient will see this page where they can confirm their address and contact details.
If recipient's choice is turned on for the campaign, the recipient will see a page where they can choose another gift, then when they choose a gift, they will see the address confirmation page.
Can the recipient update their country when they are confirming their address?
Yes, the recipient can update their country from the address confirmation page. The recipient will see the full list of countries, however, we will only allow them to choose:
- a country that the gift can be sent to:
- for bundles: countries the warehouse can send to
- for marketplace: countries the vendor can send to
- for eGifts: countries where the eGift can be claimed
- a country that is included in regions that the organization has access to based on the contract
If the gift cannot be sent to the country they selected, they will see an error message on the page to contact the sender that says "This gift can't be shipped to [country]."
